Tomb of the Unknowns

This page is dedicated to the memory of our members that have passed away
and to those of us left behind who miss them.

Jacob Magalich
1/29/81 to 5/3/07

Jake was a husband, a son, a brother, and a friend who will surely be missed. Jake died while doing something he loved and that was riding his motorcycle. Jake, you will forever be in our hearts!

Not To Understand
by Barb Smerkar

I will never understand
Why God gives then takes away.
He sends us Angels to touch our lives
But sends them home again.
Is it because they've done their job?
Or is it because He misses them so?
I will never understand
Why God gives, then takes away.

Is it for us to comprehend?
Or an answer that we dare not seek?
We realize the importance
Of the Angel He has sent.
But we never stop to think
That too soon they must go back.
Is it for us to comprehend?
Or an answer that we dare not seek?

We need to let them go in peace
With memories forever near.
Too often our lives carry
A thorn that's hard to bear.
But the warmest sunshine that we feel
Comes when the storm has passed.
We need to let them go in peace
With memories forever near.

Do Not Stand by My Grave and Weep
by Mary Frye

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.
