9th- Meeting
at Hoss's in Greensburg - thanks to Ross and Leslie Ann, we had designes
to look at with more coming soon. We are making progress with the logo!!!

15th- 9:30
AM to 3:00 PM, "The Rides of March"
- Z&M in Greensburg is holding test rides, refreshments, and 15% off
of parts and clothing.

30th- Chili
Cook Off at the Smerkar's was so much fun! We had over 25 members
bring eight different chilis and lots of other delicious side dishes and desserts.
Congratulations to Carl for winning first place and taking home the WPACRC Chili
Cook Off trohpy!!! Delicious Chili, Carl!!!! Also, our Logo was voted on with
a unanimous vote! We now have a WPACRC logo!

April
6th - Fallingwater
and Deep
Creek Ride - It was a chilly day but a few braved the weather
and still had a great time!
April
20th - Blessing
of the Bikes in Murrysville. The weather
played a game on us and said it would rain most of the day. Those who didn't
believe the weather forecast, had a great day to ride. Those of us who believed
the weather forecast, learned not to anymore.
April 27th - Blessing
of the Bikes - Word of Life Ministries Church on Rt 136
in Greensburg. Great group turn out. Nine bikes with 13 members attended the
blessing and then rode to Sonic at Pittsburgh Mills Mall. Great weather and
great food.....great day.

May
24th to 26th - Rolling
Thunder proved to be another emotional trip
for those who went but it was a very good trip for all. The weather was perfect
and Rich saved the day with his GPS and got us to Arlington National Cemetery!
May
25th - Blessing
of the Bikes - A couple of members attended
and then took a short ride afterwards! Finally, a sun filled day!

Night at Barkley's - meet at Barkley's at 7 PM and ride to an ice cream establishment
to be determined that evening.
June 2008
June
1st- Tour
Lanterman's Mill
in Youngstown, Ohio -We ate at Quaker Steak
and Lube and stopped at the Biketown Harley Davidson. Great day!!! Six couples
enjoyed great weather, great food, great company. Definitely must do this
ride again!
June
1st- The
ride to meet Steve coming back from Harrisburg was another good
ride, except for one flat tire. Other than that, a good time was had by
all!

8th - Down
the River Without a Paddle Ride.
This was an incredibly hot day and the gameplan didn't work out as planned.
Yet, Ross still made the day a good one by making the best of what he could.

Trip -
Successful ride for Rick and Steve. Not so good for one of the other guys
that went with them. His bike started acting up so he headed back home.
But Rick and Steve continued their ride and had a great time.

in the Valley- Great show of bikes for this ride to Johnstown.
The gang was very lucky because they hit no rain when it rained all around
them!

5th - State
Military Musuem in Boalsburg -destination
was changed a little because rain was right in the line of the group's
path. But the ride was great, none the less.
July 5th and 6th- Petersburg Railfest in West Virginia - Trip Cancelled
July 6th- Powdermill Nature Reserve - The reserve was boring but the ride was awesome. As we ate lunch, we could see the clouds rolling in so we headed back. Good ride, good company!!

Steak and Lube Bike Night in Cranberry - Several of us rode
to QSL, had a delicious dinner, and walked around to look at all the bikes.
A bit humid, but we didn't get rained on!!!

1st- St.
Clair Park in Greensburg for the
cast of "Beatlemania" -
Oh we this enjoyable!!! They announced that this was the largest crowd
to attend a concert at St Clair Park. Really entertaining and a lot
of fun!
August 2nd - Clarion Ride -good weather, good friends, good ride!
August 2nd - FAGAWI Ride -Ended up in West Virginia just past Point Marian. Got rained on a little but the rest of the day was really enjoyable on scenic and twisty roads.
August 9th- WPACRC 2nd Birthday Party - We've been a strong club for two years so we want to celebrate! All members are invited to the Smerkar's house starting at 4 PM till whenever. Barb and Rich are supplying the burgers and hot dogs but we're asking for everyone to bring a covered dish. Rain or shine. If it is nice weather, it will be held at the Steel Rim Tavern and if it rains, we'll hold it inside. For directions to the Smerkar's, go to our "Member's Only" web page. Directions are there. Annual Jake Magalich Memorial Ride -
This year's memorial ride/barbeque, in memory of Jake Magalich, is being
held at the Heritage Pavilion in Crooked Creek Park. Starting point
is at the intersection of Rt 819 and Rt 22 and the starting time is
9:30 AM. Registration fee is $15 for a single rider and $25 for double
riders. This covers the cost of a t-shirt, food, and rental of the pavilion.
Riders must be registered no later than July 25th to ensure receiving
a shirt on the day of the ride and to know how much food will be needed.

Cook Forest on Saturday, explore some trails and local restaurants,
sit by a campfire and tell ghost stories while eating S'mores, sleep
